Cask sample. Mid cherry and so much fresher on the nose than the Carrières (which makes me wonder again if the problem with the latter was the sample). This is full of dark-red fruit and a touch of spice. Savoury, tasty, mineral dark elegance. Finely textured and juicy on the finish. (JH)

Much more interesting nose than the Lavrottes. Savoury and layered. Long and beautifully balanced. Not a blockbuster. Chapeau! GV ? (JR)
The 2015 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru les Feusselots includes a judicious 10% whole bunch fruit and was matured in two-thirds new oak, just three barrels produced. It has a rather aloof bouquet at first, aromas refusing to come out to play, although it begins to open after several minutes and offers a subtle marine influence upon the red and black fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, succulent in the mouth with a citrus-fresh, quite compact finish suggesting that it will need 4-5 years in bottle to reach its drinking plateau. This has great potential.
