Barrel sample. In Mazoyères. Exotic but fresh red fruits. So ripe there’s plum as well as cherry. And sweet spice. Firm and savoury on the palate, a subtle power and many layers of tannins, like layers of paper. Deep, holding your attention to a long finish. Leaves your mouth clean and dry. (JH)
