2016 Gevrey Chambertin Les Crais

Rich aromas of richly toasted new oak and ripe red-black fruit introduce the 2016 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Crais, a medium to full-bodied, velvety wine with tangier acids and a brighter, livelier profile than the Cuvée Père Galland. This is another of Guillon's wines that's dominated by its new wood today, and though it may come around with time, I would love to see some used barrels in the parc a fûts chez Guillon.
