(from 30-year-old vines on rocky soil next to Clos des Ormes and just below Clos de la Roche): Dark, bright medium ruby. The nose shows a calcaire pungency along with violet and bitter chocolate notes. Suave and fine-grained in the mouth; in a rather gentle style, offering flavors of currant and saline, iodiney minerality. Boasting lovely breadth and sweetness considering its rocky quality, this wine is stuffed with fruit.
