2009 Chambolle Musigny Vieilles Vignes

(about 60% Orveaux) Bright red. Raspberry, smoke and coffee on the nose, more obviously oaky today than the Pommard. A dense, rich, rather powerful style of Chambolle, with solid underlying structure. Oak-driven tannins give the finish a slightly youthful bitterness.
