Note di degustazione
Hints of smoked meats and peonies mingle with aromas of red berries and loamy soil, introducing the 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Jeunes Rois, a medium to full-bodied, delicately fleshy wine that's built around lively acids and powdery tannins, concluding with a sapid finish. This is a touch more introverted and reserved than Le Clos this year, and it will reward at least a modicum of bottle age.

The 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Jeune Rois has a giving bouquet with perfumed red cherries and crushed strawberry laced with lavender and pot pourri scents, though these do not overpower the terroir expression. The palate is medium-bodied with fleshy red cherry and crushed strawberry fruit, a fine line of acidity, gentle in terms of grip with a caressing, velvet smooth finish. Gorgeous.
An agreeably fresh and earthy if restrained nose offers up notes of purple fruit and humus. The vibrant and seductively textured medium weight flavors possess a beguiling mouthfeel while offering fine length on the youthfully austere and firm finish.
