Note di degustazione
The 2017 Vosne-Romanée Les Malconsorts 1er Cru has a well-defined bouquet of dark berry fruit, oyster shell, sous-bois and rose petals, intense and fragrant. The harmonious palate is silky-smooth on the entry with finely judged acidity. A subtle touch of spice develops nicely toward the finish, which leaves a persistent, peppery aftertaste. A toothsome Vosne-Romanée to tuck away for several years. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2017 tasting.

The 2017 Vosne-Romanée Les Malconsorts 1er Cru (here they use "Les" rather than "Aux") comes from the domaine’s 0.4999-hectare parcel (I like to be accurate). It has quite a strict, focused bouquet – not powerful, but precise – with crushed granite filtering through the red fruit. The palate is fresh and vibrant on the entry and sorbet-fresh. Veins of orange zest are interwoven through the vivacious, approachable finish. Malconsorts usually needs bottle age, but give this a couple of years and I suspect it will be ready to give pleasure.
