Note di degustazione
The 2017 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Pruliers 1er Cru shows some acetone on the menthol-like nose and lacks real complexity. The fleshy palate is medium-bodied, clean and pure, with supple tannins and perhaps just a little too much new oak on the finish. If that is subsumed with bottle age, this might deserve a higher score, though it does seem a bit monotone. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2017 tasting.

Early malo and so bottled early too. Deepish cherry red. Ripe, sweet, dark fruit, more damson than red fruit. Sweetly ripe with a dash of spice. Finest of tannin texture bringing elegance to the dark fruit. (JH)
The 2017 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Pruliers 1er Cru offers intense black cherry, boysenberry and blueberry on the ripe, candied, generous nose, becoming more floral with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red and black fruit laced with blood orange and spices. Quite dense and grippy, this is another Gouges 2017 that will require several years in bottle.
