The 2017 Chambolle-Musigny Les Chabiots 1er Cru has a clean, precise bouquet that leans more toward black than red fruit, coming across quite Morey-like in style, linear and correct. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, and strict like the aromatics, but nicely focused and as fresh as a daisy. It delivers fine grip, a slightly granular texture and good weight and density on the finish. This will be one of the longer-term Chambolles this year. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2017 tasting.

Great nose of raspberries with just a whiff of caramel and toasty oak. A graceful wine that wraps itself gently around you and caresses you. Long finish with delicate sweetness, which makes it drinkable on release.
The 2017 Chambolle-Musigny Les Chabiots 1er Cru has a wonderful, expressive red cherry and crushed strawberry nose with beguiling floral aromas. The medium-bodied palate offers supple tannin, finely pitched acidity and a long, poised, silky-smooth finish. A great Chambolle from winemaker Alain Serveau.

Although the Bichot family settled in the region in 1350, Albert Bichot was founded in 1831 by Bernard Bichot. Today the producer is one of Burgundy’s most respected, making wines from both its own vineyards and with purchased fruit.
