The Pinot-dominated 2007 Brut Cuvée William Deutz is an intense and creamy-textured cuvée with an intense palate, remarkable finesse and good length. It is dense, rich and compact, very long but always fine and fresh, with good grip and tension. This 2007 is still young, but it will improve with further bottle age. Tasted from LA 111DO1817 in February 2019.

This is a fabulous top cuvée now with superb length and complexity. Compact palate with cooked apples, lemons and flint. Muscular and formed. Very, very serious. One for now or the cellar.
The 2007 Brut Millésimé William Deutz is a very pretty wine that is starting to show the first signs of aromatic maturity. Honey, vanilla, baked apple tart, smoke, slate, almond and spice notes add intensity to a core of orange confit and apricot fruit. The 2007 is overt and creamy, with attractive tropical overtones, and yet it very much retains the mid-weight sense of structure that is such a Deutz signature.
