Note di degustazione
(from vines in Vosne-Romanée and Chambolle-Musigny): Bright, dark red. Aromas of blackberry and licorice are lifted by a floral topnote. Creamy, nicely concentrated dark berry and mineral flavors offer noteworthy inner-mouth tension. This excellent fruit-driven Bourgogne Rouge finishes with suave tannins and good length.

The 2016 Bourgogne Rouge Croix Blanche, which was completely destemmed, has a perfumed bouquet with blackcurrant and raspberry preserve aromas, all very pure and seductive. The palate is medium-bodied with dark berry fruit mixed with a slight touch of cola that receded with time, well defined with a confit-like finish that lingers in the mouth. Fine.
Some in Chambolle and some in Vosne. Barrel sample. Deep crimson. Very big and ripe and in-your-face. Quite a bit of aggressive acid and tannin on the end. A Bourgogne made for keeping. She says her Bourgogne 2011 is still tasting beautifully in 2017. Full on. (JR)
