Note di degustazione
The 2008 Grenache Old Vines Romas Vineyard is brooding, dark and meaty, with licorice and crushed rocks, tapenade and leather. The 2008 vintage was record hot and dry, and there were long stretches of very hot days and hot nights, as well. Due to the low-yielding old vines, the fruit was picked in the early days of the heat wave. Some of the older parcels got up to 25 Baumé by the time they were picked, and the fruit was not used. What they did make was due to those early picks. Sealed under natural cork, poured from magnum.
