Note di degustazione
The 2016 Côte Rôtie is a wild, slightly funky wine that has plenty of charm in its black raspberries, gamey meats, leafy herbs, and violet aromas and flavors. With plenty of sweet fruit on the palate, it has good richness and depth, medium body, and sweet tannins. I like it, but it's certainly for those who don't mind a touch of funkiness in their Syrah.

Drawn from the Cumelle lieu-dit in the north of the appellation, the 2016 Cote Rotie should be decanted prior to serving to allow some sewer-like notes to dissipate. Once properly aired, this medium to full-bodied wine offers up sturdy notes of black olive, cassis and espresso. It's velvety on the palate, with that texture extending right through the finish.
