Magnum. Disgorged November 2010. 60% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay, 15-20% grands crus and premiers crus. Very persistent. Deep gold. Smoky, lightly cheesy and smells of soy sauce – umami. Refined and complete. A bit dry on the end. Not as fresh as some. Notably sweet on the end. (JR)

NB magnum. This relatively rich wine seemed at its peak with brioche notes and some citrus too to keep it refreshing. Creamy texture. (JR)
Masterful: ripe, toasty, luxurious, fine and sophisticated. Apples, sherbet, spice and brioche on the nose. Long, lovely. (RH)
Very opulent and glorious and exotic. Solid and maybe slightly richer than some. Very hedonistic. Rich. Real crowd pleaser – as my daughter's wedding proved. The exotic perfume just soared out of the glass long before anyone had tasted it. (JR)
