Note di degustazione
Quite light and delicate in the glass so surprising just how intense it is on the nose. Aromas of spice, clove and bitter chocolate alongside lush dark fruit leap from the glass and keep evolving in layers. There’s a gorgeous hit of fleshy, sweet fruit that is framed by the finest and most sophisticated of tannin. This is shows off the Chambolle character of Morey beautifully; so elegant and with serious underlying power. Lovely.

(no new oak used here or in the foregoing wines): Palish medium red. Spicy redcurrant and raspberry aromas are complemented by a suggestion of smoke. Subtly sweet and a touch reduced, showing good intensity and verve to its flavors of red fruits, brown spices and underbrush. Finishes with rather fine-grained tannins and a slightly rustic peppery nuance.
Blend of seven different small plots in the north of the village. Mainly white limestone. Will be racked soon. Light to mid ruby. Sappy and very appealing nose. Lots of density and tannins on the palate. Lots of chew on the end. Solid Morey. Edgy acidity and real texture rather than fruit. (JR)
