The 2014 Château Trois Moulins has a clean, simple, rather one-dimensional bouquet that does not really say "Bordeaux." The palate is simple with light tannin, attractive tobacco and brown spice-infused red fruit, but there is too much oak on the unbalanced finish. Tasted September 2016.

45% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc. Aged for 12 to 15 months in French oak barriques. Black cherry, juicy and satisfying though ultimately quite simple in flavour profile. Well made and well balanced – a good, everyday bordeaux. (RH)
