Note di degustazione
In addition to their red wines, Fonréaud also produced this blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon and Muscadelle that frequently numbers among the Médoc's finest white wines. The 2017 Le Cygne de Fonréaud is an especially good vintage of this bottling, exhibiting aromas of crisp stone fruits, custard apple and pastry cream, followed by a medium to full-bodied, rich and layered palate, conceding with a bright, grapefruit-inflected finish.

Attractive lemon curd, fresh white peaches and some biscuity nuances, leading to a palate that has a smooth, supple and fresh array of citrus and peach flavors. A blend of 60% sauvignon blanc, 25% semillon and 15% muscadelle. Drink now.
The 2017 Le Cygne de Fonreaud opens with lovely pears, apples and peaches notes with wafts of honeysuckle and baking bread. The palate is medium-bodied, refreshing and very fruity, with a long spicy finish. Apr 2018, www.robertparker.com

Situated at the highest point in the Médoc (at a huge 43 metres above sea-level), this estate is thought to be named after a spring on the site, from which Henry II supposedly drank (a “royal fountain”).
