Note di degustazione
Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2017 L'Esprit de Chevalier features warm plums, baked cherries, boysenberries, earth and crushed rocks on the nose with notes of dusty soil and wild sage. Medium-bodied, it is a little firm, thin and chewy on the finish.

The 2017 L’Esprit de Chevalier has a charming bouquet with blackberry, raspberry, pencil shavings and subtle brine scents that need more encouragement from the glass than its peers. The palate is medium-bodied with a fleshy opening, silky smooth in texture with touches of white pepper and clove towards the elegant finish. This is a fine Deuxième Vin that will make an ideal early drinker.
Moving to the reds, the second wine of the estate is the 2017 L'Esprit De Chevalier, which is a medium to full-bodied, nicely textured, fruit-forward effort that has plenty of Chevalier gravelly earth and minerality as well as bright berry and raspberry fruits, notes of spice and tobacco, and outstanding length. It’s well worth drinking and is an outstanding second wine to enjoy over the coming 15 years or more.
