52% Merlot, 47% Cabernet Sauvignon, 1% Petit Verdot . Deep crimson and obviously Cabernet-dominated aroma: lifted cassis and cassis leaf. Lovely freshness and super-fine tannins. Moreish and mouth-watering. (JH)
The 2017 Fourcas-Dupré has a light red cherry and cranberry scented bouquet with touches of vanilla and tobacco. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannin and feels pleasantly fresh in the mouth. There is nothing overly complex here, but it deserves applause for the harmony on the finish. It will constitute and early-drinking Listrac.
Mid crimson. Pretty dark fruit, a touch leafy. Tight and leafy on the palate too, fresh but without great substance, fine texture. Light and balanced. (JH)

This estate saw a transformation when Guy Pagès bought it in 1970. His work, driving quality higher with increasing attention to detail and passion, has been continued by his son Patrice, who took over in 1985.
