Note di degustazione
Tasted blind. Bright ruby colour. Fresh note of Cabernet Franc? There is a leafy edge, with a hint of strawberry and blueberry. Soft entry. Compact, medium weight and fresh. The leafy edge returns, pinching the finish. (TP)

The 2017 Joanin Bécot has quite a bit of up-front density and pure power. Raspberry jam, mocha, dried flowers and spice give the 2017 notable complexity. Just as it was from barrel, there is good intensity in the fruit but the tannins are just a bit overwhelming. If they soften, the 2017 could turn out to be even better than this note suggests.
Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 Joanin Becot is a little broody with notions of tar and chargrill to start, giving way to a core of baked plums and mulberries. Medium-bodied, the palate has invigorating herbal sparks with a chewy frame and restrained finish.
The 2017 Joanin Bécot has a perfumed bouquet with raspberry preserve and crushed strawberry scented laced with rose petals. The palate is well balanced with sappy red berry fruit laced with tobacco and iodine. The quite grippy finish displays fine length. This will give several years of drinking pleasure.
