Note di degustazione
Tasted blind. Deep ruby-garnet colour. Meaty and ripe on the nose. The palate is rich, chewy and full. There is some matière here. Chunky, but well managed. A little warmth on the back end but this is a nicely made style. (TP)

The 2017 Villemaurine has really come together nicely since I tasted it from barrel. Floral and savory notes give it a good bit of aromatic brightness to play off its rich fruit and potent tannins. Although not at all subtle, the 2017 is impeccably balanced and very good.
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 Villemaurine opens with baked black cherries, mulberries and fragrant earth scents giving way to preserves plums and cinnamon toast. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is jam-packed with black fruit preserves flavors, framed by ripe, velvety tannins and tons of freshness, finishing long and spicy.
The 2017 Villemaurine has a refined and focused bouquet with blackberry, tar and cedar aromas, classic in style with impressive focus and control. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, very smooth in texture with blackberry, cedar and light sous-bois notes towards the finish. Excellent.
