The 2017 Clément-Pichon has a well defined bouquet with a mixture of red and black fruit laced with cedar and sous-bois . The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, mainly red fruit, sour cherry and raspberry leading to quite a spicy and open-knit finish that suggests this should be consumed over the next decade.
The 2017 Chateau Clement-Pichon is rock-solid, with loads of chocolate red and black fruits, smoked tobacco, earth, and cedary spice aromas and flavors. With medium-bodied richness, sweet tannins, and beautiful balance, this high-quality Haut-Medoc does everything right. It can be drunk today or cellared for 7-8 years or more.
The 2017 Clement Pichon has a well-defined and quite floral bouquet with crushed rose petal and violet infusing the blueberry and blackberry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with firm, slightly grainy tannin. This is often pushed too hard in the winery but I discern a little more restraint here, meaning there is more freshness on the finish even if I can still feel the dry wood tannins.
