Note di degustazione
Violets, plums, black cherries, dark chocolate, and sappy herbs notes all emerge from the 2017 Le Carre, which comes from a vineyard not far from Canon, located on the upper plateau. Medium to full-bodied, concentrated, and nicely textured, it opens up with air, has ripe tannins, and displays beautiful length. Drink this rock-solid 2017 over the coming two decades.

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 Le Carre, a blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc, is relatively meaty on the nose with notions of chargrill and charcuterie over a core of warm plums, blueberries and cherry tart. The palate is medium-bodied with firm, velvety tannins and plenty of mid-palate fruit, with layers of savory flavor and spices coming through on the finish.
A grainy and red-fruited St.-Emilion showing lots of raspberry cheesecake, inviting tannins, good acidity and a tight finish.
