Note di degustazione
Black fruits and spice, lavender and violets lift from the glass. The palate offers rich flavour without heaviness though there is plenty of presence and a bit of heat here. Notes of cocoa powder and cracked pepper combine with those shown through the nose. This is a generous wine meant to reward with polished tannin and ample flavour while also carrying through a long finish with mouth-watering acidity. A sophisticated crowd-pleaser. (ECB)

The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Lyndenhurst offers lovely immediacy and intensity. Black cherry, chocolate, menthol and licorice give the 2014 much of its racy, voluptuous personality. This is a decidedly ripe style for the Lyndenhurst, as the wine feels slightly bigger and richer than is the norm. That said, the 2014 will drink well upon release.
Informazioni sul produttore

Spottswoode is one of those rare Napa estates whose reputation rests less on volume or spectacle than on persistent exactitude. Set on the western edge of St Helena, where the Mayacamas rise and afternoon breezes temper the valley’s warmth, the vineyard occupies a favoured pocket of the appellation.
