The 2011 Gevrey-Chambertin Aux Etelois has an intense bouquet with autumn leaves, morels and a light sea spray element. Very classic in style and mature. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, rustic compared to Pierre Duroché’s current vintages. It's spicy with a pepper note towards the finish but shows a slight greenness on the aftertaste. It does improve in the glass.
