Note di degustazione
The 2013 Reina de los Deseos is the same slope as La Mujer Cañón, but here the exposure is east, and there's around one month's difference in the harvesting. This is very intense aromatically, with more Mediterranean herbs, showy, revealing bright cherries, more ripeness and a mixture of red and black fruit. The texture is grainier -- there are deeper soils with more coarse granite. The vinification and aging here is the same as for La Mujer Cañón, with full clusters in oak vats with indigenous yeasts and some foot-treading, and an élevage of one year in 500-liter barrels. 1,000 bottles and 90 magnums were filled in February 2015.
