Note di degustazione
The 2016 Mercurey Les Montots has a perfumed bouquet with cranberry and raspberry fruit, just a hint of seaweed coming through with time. The palate displays fine density, intense yet refined with good weight and precision on the finish with a discrete spiciness that prolongs its length. This is a wonderful Mercurey.

The 2016 Mercurey Les Montots exhibits notes of cherry and currant fruit that mingle with notions of sweet soil and game bird. On the palate, it's medium-bodied, supple and stony, with more amplitude and generosity than the Bourgogne Côte Chalonnaise La Fortune this year.
Organic. Vines rented since 1991. Bottled. Ripe but fresh, spicy dark-red fruit. The tannins are dry and quite grippy but the overall effect is refined austerity, elegance and precision. Tight, grippy and long. Definitely needs food but I really like this austerity in harmony. (JH)
