2016 Vosne Romanee Aux Reignots

The 2016 Vosne-Romanee 1er Cru Les Reignots includes 20% whole-bunch fruit and is raised entirely in new oak. It has a well-defined bouquet that soaks up that new oak nicely: ample red berry fruit, a touch of crushed violet and a hint of blood orange develops in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent, ripe tannin, a fine bead of acidity, fresh and harmonious with fine density and concentration on the finish. There is sophistication here, maybe the best Reignots from the domaine thus far! Two barrels only.
