The 2016 Bourgogne Pinot Noir came from a used barrel. It has pretty crushed strawberry and raspberry aromas that are nicely defined and classic in style. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannin, very fresh and almost citrus-like on the entry, though I felt there was a touch of hardness on the last one-third of this wine.

Old vines grown around Vosne. Can age well. Needs two years before being drinkable. Rich and friendly. Much more fruit and charm than most bourgognes. Excellent finish. Lots going on there. Very long. GV (JR)
