Note di degustazione
The 2016 Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Clos Sorbé unfurls in the glass with a rich bouquet of ripe cherries, rose petal, orange rind and forest floor that's more reticent than the expressive 2015 rendition was at the same stage. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, with a concentrated core of sappy fruit, racy acids and powdery tannins. While Jouan's 2016 Clos Saint-Denis was still wide open when I recently tasted it, this premier cru is a little closed and only really opens with an hour's aeration.

Rich, fleshy, ripe – packs a wide range of red fruits into the glass, and keeps it wrapped within tight tannins and well-balanced fresh acid. Simple at present, but lengthy and ageworthy. (RH)
Informazioni sul produttore

The wines of Henri & Philippe Jouan fly under the radar – and, with the current quantities produced (from just three hectares of vines), this is unlikely to change any time soon.
