Rather pretty and complex on the nose. Still unfurling, with a high acidity level and quite a bit to chew on but definitely more ambitious than many a Bourgogne Blanc. (JR)

Wild flower pzazz on the nose of this very distinctive wine. Perfect for Paris wine bars! Tight and should unfurl attractively. Quite tight at present. (JR)
The 2016 Bourgogne les Chataigners, which includes some declassified premier crus fruit this year because of frost damage, has a light lime and green apple-scented bouquet. The palate is fresh and taut on the entry with a tang of bitter lemon and orange cordial, moderate depth and decent length. Nothing extraordinary, but just what you expect from a generic white Burgundy.
