The La Sémillante de Sigalas 2014, the dry white pure Sémillon blend from Château Sigalas-Rabaud, has an attractive beeswax and pear-skin bouquet that is well defined and focused. The palate is fresh and vibrant with a fine line of acidity. There is a tangible sense of mineralité here with a touch of spiciness coming through on the finish. Superb.

Broad and reasonably pungent. Rich and satisfying with some mandarin fruit and very forward. But a little astringent on the finish now. (JR)
