The 2016 Grüner Veltliner Meeresboden is intensely stony and mineral, with a real sense of phenolic drive that underpins the varietal fruit. Far from an easygoing white, the Meeresboden is going to need at least a year or two to show at its best. In 2016, the Meeresboden is a real overachiever.
