Punteggio 16/20 · Da bere 2018-2021, Jancis Robinson MW, Oct 2018

On schist very close to the ocean. Smells almost more of the rock than the fruit! Dry finish but great integrity and GV . Sucky stony end. (JR)

Punteggio 93/100 · Da bere 2017-2021, Luis Gutiérrez, Wine Advocate, Apr 2017

I caught the 2016 Aconcagua Costa Pinot Noir very shortly after bottling. 2016 was a challenging vintage, but for earlier ripening varieties it resulted in wines of outstanding vivacity, tension and character. The only significant change introduced with this vintage was that some 10% of the wine spent the élevage time in egg-shaped concrete vats. The rest aged in French barriques, mostly used, for 11 months. There are some iron and beef blood aromas with some more floral aromas, obviously young and primary. The palate is explosive, with only 13% alcohol and sharp texture and acidity, with very tasty flavors in the long finish. There is a chalky sensation in the tannins, which are very fine-grained. There is no sweetness whatsoever, and the fruit is bright. Really elegant. 19,474 bottles were filled in February 2017.
