2013 La Aguada

Mellow dark ruby. A bit reduced but not unpleasant. Fairly dry on the palate but this is clearly the intention with this wine – are we talking tinajas? Lots to chew on and nice balance. I suspect this is not the perfect wine to taste wine in a mixed array but I think I can see the intention in this wine. Sufficient fruit and lots of stuff in addition to Carignan’s sometimes rather meagre fruit quotient. Vigorous! (JR)
