Bright medium yellow. Very ripe scents of yellow apple, white currant and menthol. Plush and fine-grained but a bit plump and soft in the style of the vintage. Sacrifices some definition and energy for its unctuous mouth feel and finishes with a touch of warmth. A substantial wine but probably best suited for drinking over the next year or two. Tightened up a bit with air but still displayed a touch of alcoholic harshness.
