Punteggio 99/100 · James Suckling, Nov 2017

A gigantically concentrated dessert wine that is as poised and delicate as a prima ballerina à point. What brilliance and finesse, what purity and clarity. As long as you\'re not afraid of acidity, this could be a life-changing experience. An explosion of exotic fruits at the finish! This will live as long as the cork holds. Very limited production.

Punteggio 95/100 · Da bere 2018-2055, David Schildknecht, Vinous, Sep 2017

White peach, quince and mirabelle preserves laced with fresh grapefruit and white raisin feature on the nose and the glycerol-rich, strikingly creamy yet brightly juicy palate in a performance that could well be that of a Riesling. A yeasty bread-like manifestation of subtle botrytis adds allure. To an even more prominent degree than the corresponding Auslese, this elixir finishes with mouthwatering salinity and infectious juiciness, bringing along Rieslaner-typical tangy pineapple. That aforementioned Auslese exhibits a bit greater flavor diversity, but this TBA delivers a remarkable juxtaposition of concentration with delicacy and just hangs on for dear life, milking the salivary glands and setting tongue and tonsils to quivering. (There were a mere 50 liters of it.)
