The 2014 Lune d'Argent from Clos des Lunes, from the lieu-dit of "Caplane" near the town of Sauternes, has a light grassy bouquet with Granny Smith apples and fresh pear. The palate is fresh and crisp on the entry with a fine line of acidity, just a hint of peach surfacing towards the poised and surprisingly saline, marine-influenced finish. Perhaps the best of the three Clos des Lunes releases in 2014.

The 2014 Lune d'Argent is laced with apricot, peach, smoke and chamomile. Pliant, expressive and open-knit, it offers a compelling interplay of bright flavors with the extra depth that comes from partial aging in oak. The 2014 is lovely and should continue to drink well for at least a few years.
From Domaine de Chevalier. Fashionably matchstick on the nose. Racy with a real mouthful of flavour. Actually seems rather underpriced!! (Not usual at Berry Bros.) VGV (JR)
