Lots of lemon-cream and fresh-herb character in this rich, yet fresh white Pessac-Léognan that has some real structure and a long, firm finish. A blend of 80 per cent sauvignon blanc and 20 per cent semillon. Just beginning to open up, so better from 2020.

Very pretty currant aromas with hints of asphalt and tar. Medium to full body and firm,silky tannins. Attractive fruit and structure. Try after 2022.
The 2016 Brown has a medium garnet-purple color and nose of baked plums, warm cherries, balsamic and spice cake with a waft of hoisin. The palate is full-bodied, rich, plush and spicy with a raisiny kick to the finish.
Deep brownish (appropriately enough) crimson. Ripe with iodine notes. Pretty snazzy. Very tight on the end but the brightness of fruit promises well. Glamorous. (JR)
