A multiclonal Pinot grown on the cool western reaches of Russian River Valley and made by the Scottish winemaker here. Bright cherry red. Fresh cherry fruit – very pure and lively with masses of clean young fruit with fine tannins. Still youthful but much more refined than most RRV Pinots. (JR)

The 2013 Pinot Noir Finn (two-thirds from the DuMOL estate and a third from the Occidental Road Vineyard) includes fruit from numerous clones, most notably the Calera selection. This wine shows some notes of sassafras, black and red currants, cherries, loamy soil notes and underbrush. It is a dark ruby/plum-colored, medium to full-bodied, and again, relatively concentrated like the Ryan. Drink it over the next 5-7 years.

A deep, expressive wine, the 2013 Pinot Noir Finn opens with a host of floral, savory aromatics that make a strong first impression. Beautifully layered and creamy throughout, the Finn is superb today, not to mention one of the more complete wines in the range.
