Note di degustazione
Lots of lemon thyme and lemon balm, plus a bunch of lemon-zest freshness, driving this sleek but rather powerful dry white along at a brisk clip. A complex blend of 38 per cent sauvignon gris, 37 per cent gros manseng, 15 per cent mondeuse blanche and ten per cent savagnin.

The du Retout 2016 Blanc offers up subtle notions of white grapefruit, lemon peel and lime leaves with a touch of white pepper. Medium-bodied and refreshing with a citrus-laced palate, it finishes on a peppery note.
A hugely distinctive wine with its very unBordelais assemblage (Sauvignon Gris, Gros Manseng, Savagnin, Mondeuse Blanche). Excellent acidity and some spicy aromas plus richness and density. Mid weight and excellent balance and satin texture. Very fresh finish. But so far unsettled and unresolved. (JR)
