Smoked earth, with black pepper and cut dried herbs, red pepper and blueberry cassis fruit. Good quality, has concentration and punch. 57hl/h yield, 45% new oak for ageing. Hand picked gravel dominant soils across 90 plots covering 19ha in total. Christophe Coupez consultant, with Marco Balsimelli.

50% Merlot, 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Petit Verdot. 40% new oak for 14 months. One of the deepest colours – very deep crimson. With the stoniness of the appellation but perhaps not the undertow of the finest examples of the crus classés. The fruit and the oak are so far not quite integrated. But there is certainly potential! And the price is very low for the quality. GV (JR)
A supple and fleshy, mid-weight wine for this appellation with plenty of energy that drives the moderately dry and tannic finish. Nice black fruit, which makes it accessible, so drink or hold.
