The 2016 Clos Marsalette Blanc from this estate is terrific and well worth seeking out. Beautiful minerality, lime, and just a kiss of brioche all emerge from this Sauvignon-dominated effort that’s medium-bodied, balanced, and juicy. Drink it over the coming 4-6 years, although I wouldn’t be surprised to see it keep longer.

The 2016 Clos Marsalette Blanc was matured in 25% stainless steel and 75% oak barrels (30% new). It has an attractive bouquet of orange pith and light mango scents. The Sémillon is quite expressive. The palate is well balanced with fine acidity, not amazingly complex but full of energy. Touches of fresh pear and white peach emerge toward the finish. Enjoy this over the next five to eight years.
This white shows dried apples and pears with some stones and dried lemon grass. Medium-to full-bodied, chalky and flavorful. Drink now.
The 2016 Clos Marsalette Blanc is a very pretty, open-knit wine with quite a bit of near to medium-term appeal. White flowers, ripe orchard fruit and light tropical overtones all grace this very pretty, inviting white.
