Punteggio 86/100 · Da bere 2017-2023, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Oct 2016

The 2014 Château Clos du Moulin has a generous kirsch and strawberry nose that is modern in style, yet well defined and attractive. The palate is medium-bodied with tobacco and earthy notes, quite oaky and this seems to dry out the finish a little. It may improve with another year in bottle, by which time we will see if both the oak and fruit is singing from the same hymn sheet. Tasted September 2016.

Punteggio 17/20 · Da bere 2020-2028, Richard Hemming MW, jancisrobinson.com, Sep 2016

50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 50% Merlot. Opulent, fruit-driven nose – very bold and modern. Black cherry on the palate, with much more structure than expected – this is lovely wine to discover. One of the few crus bourgeois that really needs proper bottle age. (RH)
