Note di degustazione
(aged entirely in concrete vats): Brilliant straw-yellow. Meyer lemon, white flowers, honey and pear skin on the perfumed nose. Chewy orchard fruit and pit fruit flavors show very good depth, a smoky mineral edge and a touch of waxiness. Becomes livelier and spicier with air and finishes sappy and long, displaying repeating florality and a touch of chamomile.

In addition to producing top reds, Brunel makes some fantastic whites and his 2012 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc is outstanding. A blend of 80% Roussanne and 20% Grenache Blanc, it offers up lively, fresh notes of citrus blossom, green apple, and minerality with additional toasty, nutty notes developing with time in the glass. Medium-bodied, supple and with beautiful purity of fruit, it balances its richness and freshness perfectly. Drink it over the coming couple of years. Drink now-2015. A fantastic estate that-s run by the talented and incredibly well spoken Andre Brunel, these character-filled efforts are made from his winery located in the southern part of the appellation. His 2011 base cuvee is one of the best in the vintage, and his 2012s show loads of potential. Importer: Robert Kacher Selections, New York, NY; tel. (212) 239-1275
