The 2014 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru les Petits-Monts has a succinct bouquet with very delineated maraschino and blueberry fruit over-layered by wonderful mineralité. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp acidity, very fine tannin and fresh in the mouth, with a touch of spice developing on the finish. You know, this is a fine Les Petits-Monts...but you instinctively know that Amélie Berthaut will make even better ones in the future.
