Note di degustazione
Good medium red. Musky red fruits on the reticent nose. Refreshing tangy acidity frames and lifts the strawberry and raspberry fruit. Boasts good viscosity for the vintage and finishes suave and energetic.

(from a south-facing site in a cool combe ): Healthy dark red with ruby tones. A very ripe black cherry aroma is brightened by building minerality. Thick and intense, with racy acidity giving shape to the middle palate. More black fruits than red, which Clavelier says is typical of his 2014s. Notes of licorice and dark chocolate emerge with aeration. The tannins are silky but quite firm and the finish is fruity and long. Showed lovely density of texture and harmony with time in the glass.
The 2014 Vosne Romanée 1er Cru Aux Brûlées had a more floral bouquet in the making, nicely defined, just a touch of reduction to get through at the moment. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black cherry and raspberry fruit on the entry, nicely judged acidity, but just needing a little more precision to come through on the finish. If that transpires, then it will certainly deserve a higher score, but I will be prudent for now.
