Light and a little hint of matchstick reduction on the nose. Rich palate entry and just slightly fat. Doesn’t quite sing and vibrate as much as some. (JR)

The 2015 Vire Clesse has a tightly wound, quite reserved bouquet with faint nutty/fumé aromas developing with time. The palate is well balanced with a crisp line of acidity, gaining weight on the second half with a crisp, quite saline finish. This is a very decent Viré-Clessé that should drink well for up to five years.
Dominique’s own vines vinified at Ch de Bligny. Crystal clear. Awfully good. Deserves to cost a lot more than most Bourgogne Blanc. Fresh and vital – not as rich as some but very well put together. (JR)
30,000 bottles or more! 7 ha from 2009. 40 hl/ha. Floral and racy. Good tensions and almost lean. GV (JR)
