Note di degustazione
The 2015 Vougeot 1er Cru le Clos du Prieure is excellent, wafting from the glass with a classy bouquet of Griotte cherries, wild berries, cinnamon, grilled meat and spicy coniferous forest floor. On the palate, it's medium-bodied and meltingly supple, with succulent acids and very fine-grained tannins. It's a supremely elegant wine that exemplifies the Vougeraie style—and only a rather fleeting finish prevents it from scoring higher.

(just 19 hectoliters per hectare produced in 2015, owing to a high percentage of millerandé berries): Moderately saturated medium red. Aromas of redcurrant, spices and earth. Surprisingly flavorful wine, showing good mineral energy and a subtle sweetness to its red berry and spice flavors. The dusty tannins are refined and not at all dry. Pierre Vincent noted that the Côte de Nuits was more affected by drought stress than the Côte de Beaune, especially Vougeot, Chambolle-Musigny and Bonnes-Mares, but this wine nonetheless shows a juicy quality.
(a monopole of the domaine). An overtly floral-suffused nose is surprisingly perfumed with its cool, pure and elegant red berry fruit, violet and sandalwood scents. There is a lovely sense of underlying tension to the delineated and caressing middle weight flavors that deliver fine length on the delicious and balanced finish. Dec 2016, www.burghound.com
