2015 Chambertin Clos de Beze

(from century-old vines in the particularly rocky lieu-dit Cabin Rose): Bright dark red. Liqueur-like ripeness to the aromas of raspberry, cherry and crushed rock. Like liquid velvet in the mouth, but with exhilarating pepper and rose petal lift to the raspberry fruit and virtually no sign of the 100% new oak. The wine's enthralling sucrosité is leavened by a medicinal reserve. This remarkably thick, seamless Clos de Bèze finishes with explosive building length. Can't spit this!
